This service is part of the Kilkenny Adult Education Service, Kilkenny and Carlow Education and Training Board (ETB). It is primarily aimed at adults who left school without formal qualifications and who are at risk of long term unemployment and/or for those adults who wish to improve their basic education and skills. All adults are welcome to contact the service for the purpose of up to date, impartial education information. 

It is a free and confidential service that is friendly, relaxed, impartial and supportive. The service seeks to provide guidance support to individuals and groups in order to enable them to make informed choices in relation to educational and career options. Through the guidance counselling process adults have an opportunity to explore their interests, aptitudes and preferences for education and employment. Adult Guidance Counsellors can also provide assistance with CV preparation, application forms, interview techniques and other related supports.
