  • Brow Rangers Athletics Club

    Brow Rangers Athletics Club was founded in 1970 in Coon, Co. Kilkenny to promote athletics in our area.  We have a strong tradition of weight throwing in our club which our coaches proudly promote for juveniles, starting at 6 years of age, senior and master age groups.  

    Training is on Wednesday and Saturday, with Circuit Training for older athletes in our gym on Monday and Thursdays in Coon West. Make contact for training times.

  • Castlecomer Athletic Club

    Castlecomer Athletic Club, County Kilkenny was reformed in 1984 to promote athletics in Castlecomer and the surrounding areas of North Kilkenny. We are an affiliate club of Athletics Ireland.

    We cater for juvenile, junior, senior, masters and fit4life athletes of all abilities and participate in track and field (short, middle, long distance running, hurdling, jumping and throwing), cross country and road (from 5k up to marathon) events. We have fantastic coaches and volunteers to help guide and develop our athletes.

    Training times and locations:

  • Gowran Athletic Club

    Train and compete in all track and field events and cross-country. Training Monday and Friday, from 6.30pm at Gowran Park Racecourse carpark. New members welcome. Adults and children from age 8. Also meet at Scanlon, Park on Wednesday, 7pm to 8pm.

  • Kilkenny City Harriers Juvenile and Senior Athletic Club

    Founded in 1953, the 'Harriers' is one of the longest established athletic clubs in Ireland with a proud history and tradition of achievement and participation.

    Fit4Life: Mondays and Thursdays 6.30pm to 7.30pm on the track at Scanlon Park, The Watershed, Loughboy

    Adults: Tuesdays 8.30pm to 9.30pm at Scanlon Park, The Watershed

    Juveniles: under 8 to under 11: Tuesdays 6.30pm to 7.30pm and under 11 to under 19 Tuesdays and Thursdays 7.15pm to 8.30pm at Scanlon Park, The Watershed

  • Park Run

    Park runs are free, weekly, timed events across the world, organised by local volunteers.
    Everyone is welcome at park run - whether you walk, jog, run or volunteer. It’s just you against the clock. It’s free! but please register before your first run, or you won’t get a time.
    Every Saturday morning, 9.30am.
