  • Art It - Didi’s Walk In Art Studio

    Didi’s Walk In Art Studio. For all ages, offers everyone the possibility to be creative. On Wednesday mornings there is an Age Friendly class at a reduced price. There is a handy Drop In service for children besides Art and Craft Classes, Oil Painting and Perspective Drawing Classes. Art It caters to parties and events of all sorts.

  • Butler Gallery

     

    Butler Gallery is the leading contemporary art gallery and museum, with a permanent collection, in the South East of Ireland.  Butler Gallery is a free attraction and runs engaging public events for a wide variety of audiences, including: free bookable tours for groups, week-end activities for children, tailored exhibition visits for people living with dementia and their families, and bookable verbal description tours for people who are blind/visually impaired.  Butler Gallery is open year round, with diverse exhibitions by Irish and international artists.  Entry is free.

  • Irish Countrywomen’s Association (ICA)

    County Kilkenny federation of ICA has several hundred members in 18 guilds, with an ethos based on friendship with women and further education. Hand crafts, computers and all of the old traditional Irish crafts are our main activities. Classes in computers, digital cameras, hand crafts, gardening, flower arranging, swimming and physical fitness may also be available. Visits to An Grianán in Co Louth, ICA’s Adult Education College, are arranged. Members go on weekend trips and there is an annual international trip. There is a hand-craft week in March every year.

  • KCAT (Kilkenny Collective for Arts Talent)

    KCAT Art Centre offers a variety of courses, both short and long-term for adults. Courses are facilitated by experienced tutors. These include introductory art courses, open studio days, photography, life drawing, artist’s workshops, dance, ceramics, glass art, creative writing and sculpture. Additional week-end and summer courses are continually on offer. News can be found on our website. Summer camps for children and teens are available. Visitors are welcome by appointment.

  • Open Circle Community Arts

    Open Circle is a small community arts organisation based in Kilkenny City which seeks to make the arts available and accessible to woman of all ages and from all walks of life, living in Kilkenny City and County. The project is managed and supported by the Arts Office of Kilkenny County Council, with additional support from Kilkenny Education and Training Board. The heart of the project is our community art space the Open Circle Art House, in Kilkenny City. We offer a varied programme throughout the year, see our website for details.
