Ireland’s leading producer of professional theatre for children and young people has built up a strong reputation for high quality, innovative styles of theatre. Based in Kilkenny, Barnstorm tours its professional productions all over Ireland, as well as playing locally in both the Watergate Theatre and its own theatre venue, The Barn.

Barnstorm also runs a vibrant Outreach and Education programme providing access and training in theatre/drama to communities and individuals across Kilkenny City and County. This is a flexible programme that invites individuals, organisations and communities to discuss the possibility of realising theatre, arts and drama projects with us.

Kilkenny Youth Theatre: There are three groups that run during school terms (5th and 6th class Primary, 1st and 2nd year, Secondary and 3rd year). Contact Barnstorm for enrolment information. Youth Drama Camp Theatre is in July each year.

Adult Theatre Club: a weekly programme of theatre workshops which gives local adults the opportunity to learn about creating theatre and to meet new people.
