Foróige is Ireland’s leading youth organisation, working with approximately 64,000 young people every year.
Foróige offers young people between 10 and 18 years a wide variety of volunteer led youth service provision
through a network of volunteer led groups namely Foróige Juniors (10-11 year olds), Foróige Clubs (12-18
year olds), Special Interest Groups (12-18 year olds) and Volunteer Led Youth Cafés (12 – 14 year olds/15-18

Foróige Groups currently in operation in Kilkenny City and County are Ballycallan, Conahy (Foróige Club &
Foróige Juniors), Coon-Muckalee, Cuffesgrange-Danesfort, Inistioge, Mullinavat, Piltown & Paulstown,. If

The Foróige DRUM Youth Project & Health Café, located in Goods Shed Square, MacDonagh Junction
Shopping Centre, offers a variety of supports and activities to young people aged 12 - 18 years from Kilkenny
City & County.
These include Drop In Youth Café (safe chill out space with FREE internet, pool, snacks, Wii & activities
organised by young people) for young people in 3rd – 6th year, structured groups for 1st & 2nd years,
FREE professional counselling service, “OUT Kilkenny” (LGBT group), Youth Committee (group of young
people who organise activities & guide staff in the running of the centre), music rehearsal room. Also: Youth
Support, Educational Programmes, Health Information, Youth Citizenship, Youth Leadership & Community
