St Ciaran's Boys School

St. Kieran's Boys National School or Scoil Chiaráin Naofa is situated in the village of Ballyragget (Béal Átha Ragad) which is ten miles from Kilkenny city. The school caters for boys from 2nd class to 6th class and currently has an enrollment of 48 pupils.

There are now three classrooms (including a library/computer room), a learning support/resource room and a staffroom and office facilities. The school is well equipped with educational aids and also has a well-stocked library. The IT facilities in the school are comprehensive and are availed of by all students. There are currently five members on the teaching and support staff, which includes two mainstream class teachers, one resource teacher and two special needs assistants. School begins at 9.20am and ends at 3.00pm with lunch breaks at 11.00 a.m. and 12.30 p.m.
