St Luke’s General Hospital Carlow-Kilkenny
The Meet and Greet Volunteer Service at St Luke’s General Hospital assists and supports members of the public when visiting the hospital. The main role of Meet and Greet volunteers is to provide a friendly welcome to the hospital assisting and guiding visitors and patients to the various wards, departments and clinics in the hospital. Volunteers also visit patients, read newspapers to patients, play cards, facilitate a walk in the hospital grounds, assist with feeding for less able patients, operate a library service to the wards, etc.
St Luke’s also offers members of the public the opportunity to give feedback on hospital services through their Patient Partnership Forum. This group meets a number of times each year to provide feedback on the service provided and discuss/help progress new projects in the hospital.
