Brow Rangers Athletics Club was founded in 1970 in Coon, Co. Kilkenny to promote athletics in our area.  We have a strong tradition of weight throwing in our club which our coaches proudly promote for juveniles, starting at 6 years of age, senior and master age groups.

Castlecomer Athletic Club, County Kilkenny was reformed in 1984 to promote athletics in Castlecomer and the surrounding areas of North Kilkenny. We are an affiliate club of Athletics Ireland.

We cater for juvenile, junior, senior, masters and fit4life athletes of all abilities and participate in track and field (short, middle, long distance running, hurdling, jumping and throwing), cross country and road (from 5k up to marathon) events. We have fantastic coaches and volunteers to help guide and develop our athletes.

Duchas, Tullaherin Heritage Society was founded in 1981. Its aims are to research and record the wealth of history and folklore of the Tullaherin area in order to foster among the people of the parish a greater interest in and awareness of their past.  There is something for everyone.  Non members are welcome. Family Carers Ireland is a registered charity and a company limited by guarantee, emerging from the coming together of The Carers Association and Caring for Carers in 2016. Kilkenny Special Olympics Club is a volunteer run organization which provides training in swimming, bocce and athletics for children and adults with intellectual disabilities.

Bocce training during the winter months, Tuesdays, 5.45pm to 6.45pm at St Canice's Hospital.

Athletic's training during the spring and summer months, Tuesdays, 5.45pm to 6.45pm at Scanlon Park.

Members go on dives on Sundays off the Waterford and Wexford coast and occasional weekend diving trips to the West coast are organised. Members are involved in search and recovery operations. The club has its own boats and equipment and can provide equipment for pool training. Meetings and training for diving qualifications are held every Wednesday night, 9pm to 10pm, from January to May in The Watershed swimming pool.

Traditional Tae Kwon Do for all ages and all fitness levels. Classes Monday to Friday 6.30pm to 7.30pm. Advanced classes Monday and Wednesday 7.30pm to 9pm. All classes are run all year round.

KTCM assists and supports Traveller children of primary and secondary school age, in the Hebron and Wetlands areas of Kilkenny City to do their homework. KTCM also provides recreational, cultural and social activities to the 45 participating children. Age group 4 to 16 yrs.

A social morning with occasional outings. Meet weekly on Thursdays, 11.30am at the Pembroke Hotel.

This 6km loop walk starts and finishes at the Watering Place – wildlife lakes fed by fresh water springs 1km from Tullahought on the Kilkenny/Tipperary border. This walk is unsuitable for large groups and walkers should be aware that they may encounter livestock. No dogs permitted on this walk. For more information check the Trail Kilkenny website.

The Lacken Walk, which forms part of the River Nore Linear Park, follows the east bank of the River Nore as it flows south for Bennetsbridge. Access from either the ring road at Ossory bridge or from the "Lacken Steps" at the end of Maudlin Street/Dublin Road (near the viewing area). The Lacken Walk comprises a mix of old pathway dating back to the 1950's which travels to the rear of the old Health Board grounds at St. Canice's. As the path opens out into the flood plain a board walk is provided to take walkers across the often wet and flooded ground.

Men's Action Network is a support/social group for men over 55. The group participates in light activities such as indoor bowling, bocha, tea and a chat. There are also trips, other social events and information sessions. All welcome. Meet Fridays 10.30am to 12pm.

Mooncoin Youth Club, under the auspices of Ossory Youth, meets every Tuesday in the Parish Community Hall Mooncoin from 7.30pm to 9.30pm (excluding summer months). Membership is open to post-primary children from first year to age 18. Volunteer adult leaders always welcome.

The Society provides one to one support and support groups for people with MS and their families. We provide information on symptom management. Exercise programmes are held from time to time. Volunteers are needed to support the local voluntary branch.

Probus is the association of retired and semi retired professional and business personnel in autonomous localised clubs throughout Ireland and the rest of the world. Many members are ex Rotarians. Most meetings last about one hour and they include a speaker on a topic of interest. Other meetings may consist of outings to places of interest. Kilkenny Probus Club was founded in 1998 and currently meets in the Club House Hotel Kilkenny, Tuesdays at 11am, fortnightly, except for July and August.

Rainbows offers a 9 week listening, group support programme for children and young people, following a bereavement or parental separation.

Established in 2011, Soulful Spirit Choir is a thriving choir with a passion for singing and music.  Our repertoire varies across different types and genres of music. New members are greeted with a warm welcome and are well supported when becoming familiar with the choir material.  Rehearsals every Tuesday 8pm to 9.30pm.

A confidence building course with emphasis on correct speech (diction work) and public speaking, but also involves a wide variety of other aspects such as drama, puppet theatre, mime, characterisation, improvisation and lots of fun.  Suitable for children from first class to sixth class.  Speech examinations also available.

Teac Tom is a peer led organisation which offers a warm and welcoming place for people that have been affected by suicide or mental health issues and for their families and friends. The door of Teac Tom is open Monday to Friday, 9.30am to 5.30pm (out of hours service available). We provide a safe space where people can come in for a chat and a coffee. We offer immediate counselling and support face to face and out of hours we provide support over the phone. We are community based and depend on community funding to keep the service going.

Formed in 1894 to support the Home Rule movement, today the club has no affiliations to any political party and is used as a social club.

You will be sure of a very warm welcome at the club. You don't have to be a member to avail of our facilities. The bar is a great place to meet up with friends for a chat and a quiet pint around the open fire or to play a game of darts or pool. There's also a Beer Garden and smoking area for you to enjoy. We  have two full sized snooker tables for use.

The Men’s Shed is a social outlet for men where they share their different skills. Members can partake in a range of activities i.e. bicycle up-cycling, wood turning, gardening etc.

The Kilkenny Men's Shed also carries out handy-work in the community known as "Men's Shed Helping Hands". The idea is that members are available to carry out some handy-work - e.g mowing the lawn, putting up shelves, painting a door etc. - for people in the community, especially older people and those living alone. In return an individual can give a donation to the Men's Shed.

Walk along the banks of the River Nore from Ossory bridge to Bennettsbridge. The 11km walk on grasslands and roadways can be started from the park at the top of Maudlin Street or from under Ossory bridge (watch out for the signpost on the Ring Road). Established in 1967, the Unity Singers are a four-part mixed choir who give regular performances around the County, an annual concert and an annual Carol Service.

Thukolo Gospel and Spiritual Choir perform gospel, soul and spiritual music for every occasion that never fails to move audiences.

Thukolo’s primary aim is fundraising for designated local charities.

The core activities of Tyndall Mountain Club are hill walking and mountaineering. We hike on Wednesdays and Sundays. You can avail of three taster walks before you decide to join us. Hill walking brings many rewards and can take you to beautiful places. However, before you decide to join, you need to have a good level of fitness and  have appropriate mountaineering equipment for a day in the hills. You should also be aware that hill walking and mountaineering can be dangerous and may result in personal injury or death.
